Knight, a founding partner of Generation Investment Management, to its advisory board.Knight founded Generation Investment Management (“Generation”) with his partners, former Vice President Al Gore and former Goldman Sachs Asset Management CEO David Blood, in 2004, and served as its president until his retirement in 2017. During his tenure with Generation, Knight oversaw the firm’s U.S. business and played a vital role in establishing its position as a global sustainable investing leader with assets under management totaling more than $18 billion. Knight also brings a wealth of political and legal experience, having previously served as the chief of staff to Representative and later Senator Al Gore, as general counsel of Medicis Pharmaceutical, and in senior positions on four presidential campaigns. Additionally, Knight represented numerous Fortune 500 companies as named partner in a Washington D.C. law firm. He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University and a B.A. from Cornell University.In his capacity as a strategic advisor, Knight will provide key guidance regarding Ethic’s solutions for investment advisors. He joins a cadre of accomplished sustainable and institutional investing leaders that currently serve as trusted advisors to Ethic’s executive team, helping to identify and capitalize on opportunities for impact, growth, investment and product development.
